About Group
We're a fun and fast growing group and would love for you to join us. We've got first-time triathletes and Ironmen veterans. Our Houston-area members are scattered out across the region. In 2011, several members have stepped up to lead local group rides and other activities. They are listed below. We love to come together as a large group at the races, starting the day with a pre-race group prayer and ending it encouraging one another and celebrating as each of us cross the finish line.

Volunteer and Service Projects
Emma's Hugs - We will be doing a race for a reason this year. Many that are doing IM TX or others that have a big goal race are using this as a tool to help raise $ for a worthwhile cause while sharing their IM or goal race experience along the way with their friends and family. Our cause is Emma's Hugs. www.emmashugs.com Emma's hugs was started after 4yr old emma lost her life to batten diease. her family now offers random acts of kindness by paying for people's parking at the texas medical center. Please visit our blog for donations and to keep up to date on our members training progress.

Bible Collection - Our collection this year will be bibles. Throughout the year we will be gathering bibles (new and/or used) and they will be distributed to a start up church in the inner city. So keep your eyes out for bibles and let people know that you are collecting them.
Volunteering - We are going to step up our volunteering this year...we will be helping out at Lonestar (being body markers) the weekend of April 9th and Sylvan Beach Sunday June 12th and TriGirl in August...so mark your calenders and hopefully we can be out there to support and be a great representation for "Him".

I ride with a group that meets on Sat and Sun at 7:30AM at the bank on the corner of Hwy 6 and Rock Prarie. This is where we will park. Please keep in mind that there are hills on this route. This is a good ride for those that will be getting ready for the Austin 70.3 If for some reason you are running late and we have already left. The route is simple. Just take 2025 into Coldsprings (30min) and turn left on 150 towards New Waverly (go down 30min and turn around) There is a shoulder the entire way. Please print out the map before you come. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Coldspring&state=TX&country=US&latitude=30.592199&longitude=-95.129204&geocode=CITY Sunday Swim 7/18 288 lakes $7 1:150 pointsRikCazares wrote 585 Days Ago (neutral) 0I don't suppose anyone would be interested in riding tomorrow morning. There is only a 40% chance of rain at 7-8am, then 30% at 9-10am. I'm considering doing the paperclip route. Maybe 1 loop and then some if the weather holds.0 points
