2009 Domestique Award Co-Recipient Cindy Reeves
Tri4Him is pleased to present the 2009 Domestique Award to Houston Group leader, Cindy Reeves.
Cindy is dedicated to building the Tri4Him team and ensuring that every member feels welcome. She is constantly organizing training events, including group rides and swims, to bring members together to help each other become stronger triathletes and grow in their walk with God. Through her positive attitude and eagerness to share the word with others, the Houston Group has been able to quickly increase membership, touch others at races and be be His light to those around them. Cindy's willingness to assist and encourage eveyone she meets is what makes her team so strong. She has been called a "great role model" and has a team that is proud to call her their leader.
Last year, Cindy
- Brought organization and leadership to the Houston group and the group has experienced significant growth under her leadership
- Led volunteer efforts, manned aid stations, and served the tri community at many races
- Initiated and facilitated the charity effort for The Shoe Bank
- Recruited other like-minded athletes to serve along side her, volunteering, setting up the tent, coordinating prayer lists, leading pre-race prayers
Cindy was also selected in the lottery and will be going to Kona this year! Please pray for her as she trains for this great opportunity to race for Him and let her light shine!
